Lead Teacher Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Lead Teacher to join our team at KinderCare Learning Companies in Libertyville, Illinois. As a Lead Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational journey of young learners and contributing to the success of our center.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead, coach, and mentor less experienced teachers in your classroom, modeling behaviors and providing feedback.
  • Implement KinderCare's curriculum in a way that meets the unique needs of each child, fostering a safe and nurturing environment for learning and growth.
  • Partner with parents to provide exceptional care and education for their children, building strong relationships and a sense of community.
  • Support the center's success by partnering with staff and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment, accreditation, and engagement.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, community contacts, and corporate partners.
Qualifications:
  • Outstanding customer service skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multitask and handle multiple situations effectively.
  • Possess an active Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential or meet NAEYC candidacy requirements.
  • Approved state trainer (preferred).
  • 2-3 years of Early Childhood Education experience (preferred).
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred).
  • CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain.
  • Meet state-specific guidelines for the role.
  • Ability to use a computer, lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors or outdoors.
  • Ability to make physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity with children.
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents.
