Job Title: RN Angiography Specialist

The RN Angiography Specialist is a key member of the healthcare team, responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the highest level of quality and safety in the angiography department.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive patient education and support to alleviate fears and decrease anxiety.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care and create a safe environment for patients.
  • Perform thorough and ongoing nursing assessments to develop individualized plans of care.
  • Implement medical and surgical asepsis principles and perform treatment and procedures in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Accurately document patient information and participate in quality assessment and improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with admitting, recovering, and discharging patients from the procedure areas.
  • Identify physical symptoms and changes and take appropriate action in a timely manner.
  • Administer medications and participate in quality assessment and improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, currently licensed in the State of New York.
  • BSN preferred, with a focus on critical care or Emergency Room nursing experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of nursing theory and practice, as well as appropriate technology and practice standards.
  • Sound clinical skills, including knowledge of hospital structure, objectives, and standard of practice.
  • Positive communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • ARIN, SVN, Cardiac-Vascular Nursing, or CCRN certification.
  • Conscious Sedation and ACLS certification.
  • PICC certification.
