We are seeking an experienced Anesthesia Technician Lead to join our team at Methodist Health System. As a key member of our anesthesia department, you will be responsible for overseeing the acquisition and restocking of anesthesia supplies, ensuring that anesthesia machines are properly set up and calibrated, and providing training and support to new anesthesia technicians.
Responsibilities- Assist in the management of anesthesia supplies, including ordering and restocking of equipment and materials.
- Ensure that anesthesia machines are properly set up and calibrated for all anesthesia areas.
- Provide training and support to new anesthesia technicians, including orientation and onboarding.
- Work with the Chief CRNA or Anesthesiologist to ensure that anesthesia technicians are competent and up-to-date on their skills and knowledge.
- Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to anesthesia equipment and supplies.
- Collaborate with the Biomed department to ensure that equipment is functioning properly and that loaner equipment is available as needed.
- Communicate effectively with anesthesia technicians, CRNAs, and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth operations and high-quality patient care.
- Associate Degree in a medically related field or five years of experience as an Anesthesia Technician.
- B.S., B.A., or Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy.
- Respiratory Therapist Certification, LVN license, or Anesthesia Technician certification.
