Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Blockchain Security Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our security team, you will design and execute a robust blockchain security assessment program, leading security risk assessments of blockchains, and providing security expertise and risk mitigation recommendations to various enterprise teams.
Key Responsibilities- Leverage your technical understanding of various blockchains, such as Ethereum, Bitcoin, and Solana, to conduct blockchain security assessments.
- Evaluate threat intelligence related to various blockchains and provide an impact assessment.
- Engage with blockchain engineering teams and provide security recommendations.
- Design and enhance Circle's blockchain assessment program.
- Perform security assessments of a defined portfolio of Circle's third parties and provide and track risk mitigation measures.
- Mentor and coach junior team members.
- Provide metrics and reporting.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computer science, computer engineering, cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Technical understanding of a variety of blockchains, including Ethereum, Bitcoin, and Solana.
- Ability to understand source code, including Python and Rust.
- 2+ years of working in blockchain security.
- 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity, technology, or engineering.
- Expertise in communicating security risk to both technical and non-technical teams.
- Ability to take a deep dive into technical controls to determine control effectiveness.
- Experience working in financial services or other highly regulated industries.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently, and adapt to ambiguity.
- Creative problem-solver, able to recommend and implement changes to improve pre-established processes and procedures.
Circle offers a competitive compensation package, including a base pay range of $130,000-$170,000, an annual bonus target of 15%, and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). We also provide 10 days of paid sick leave per year and 11 paid holidays per year.
