Job Summary

The Director of Camp Kehilla is responsible for planning and administering all camp activities and operations. This position will assist with the growth and care of campers in a fun and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with leadership to set strategic goals and objectives for programs
  • Oversee the program's overall performance and success
  • Prepare and monitor department budgets
  • Plan and execute all program initiatives and report on program outcomes
  • Ensure program stays within compliance with agency and legal regulations
  • Communicate objectives and outcomes with Senior Leadership and Board when necessary
  • Conduct performance reviews and set performance goals for program and team members
  • Recommend staffing requirements, recruit and train new team members
  • Partner with Human Resources to coach, counsel and discipline team members
  • Recommend promotions, transfers and terminations
  • Enforce SJJCC policies and procedures
Requirements
  • 2 years supervisory experience preferably working with children in a school or camp environment
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Licensed Social Worker or Licensed Educator
  • Experience working with children with special needs
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Understanding of OPWDD regulations a plus
  • Communication skills including strong interpersonal skills with clients, staff and parents, as well as the ability to speak, read and write effectively
  • Exhibit patience, initiative, enthusiasm, resourcefulness and strong attention to detail
  • Able to effectively develop, document and implement behavior management protocols
  • Ability to provide leadership and motivation to staff and work effectively with diverse groups of people
Salary

$25,000 - $35,000
