Job Description: As a Counter Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced sales environment. Your primary goal will be to maximize sales while ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction. Key responsibilities include:
  • Representing Baker Distributing Company as a leader in the industry, ensuring maximum sales.
  • Interacting with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors and contractors.
  • Responsible for showroom merchandising and re-stocking product.
  • Assisting in resolving customer relations problems with both dealers and end-users.
  • Completing sales order processes for customers, with a focus on up-selling associated items.
  • Providing customers with product and service needs by researching products via computer systems, catalogs, or other reference sources.

Requirements:
  • A High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong background in technical support, HVAC parts, and customer service/sales, with intermediate MS Office capabilities.
  • Customer Service, Data Entry, Estimating, Purchase Orders, Sales, Shipping/Receiving
  • Minimum 1+ year experience in a Counter Sales role, preferably in the HVAC industry.
  • Knowledge of air conditioning, heating, and ventilation equipment at a wholesale distribution level is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including sales, problem-solving, and customer service focus, are absolutely required.
  • Ability to work independently but meet assigned goals and objectives within designated timeframes.
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced environment with skills to multitask on different levels.
  • Excellent customer service mindset with the ability to develop long-term relationships.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Must be proficient in speaking, reading, and understanding English to ensure full compliance with safety standards, training, policies, and procedures.

Estimated Salary Range: $18.00-$29.00 per hour.
