Our market research and consumer insights team is tasked with utilizing both primary and secondary research methodologies to pinpoint industry trends, identify knowledge gaps, and uncover market opportunities, all aimed at fostering growth.The role involves delivering data-driven insights to improve customer engagement strategies by providing impactful insights that align with our strategic objectives.
SKILLS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Market Research, or a related discipline; Food Marketing preferred.
- 2-4 years of experience in a marketing analytics capacity, ideally within a food manufacturing, retail, or supply context.
- Experience in consulting and/or consumer packaged goods industry research, analysis, and consumer insights is advantageous.
- Proven ability to cultivate strong relationships across various departments and with leaders at all levels.
- Professional demeanor, team-oriented mindset, and a strong desire to extract meaningful data insights. Capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple research projects and meeting deadlines.
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills, with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Extensive proficiency in Microsoft Excel and a technical aptitude for learning new tools and platforms.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct research and analysis on food and beverage flavor trends utilizing platforms such as Mintel, Circana, Datassential, among others.
- Monitor social media channels to identify and understand consumer food preferences and discern emerging trends.
- Integrate qualitative, quantitative, and sales data to create a cohesive and compelling narrative through effective storytelling techniques.
- Perform quarterly menu analyses to identify new food trends, flavors, and ingredients.
- Assess how new and emerging technologies influence consumer preferences and purchasing behaviors.
- Utilize various online and offline methods to gauge consumer tastes and purchase intentions.
- Assist in the development of an annual research and data plan to document competitive intelligence.
- Contribute analytical insights for significant reports, including white papers and industry overviews.
- Engage with researchers, external firms, and other organizations to explore high-impact research opportunities.
- Target specific market segments through ongoing development and refinement of marketing lists.
- Enhance and expand our target marketing channels through research, focusing on improving our B2B presence.
- Collaborate closely with research & development, regulatory, and sales teams to support various customer projects.
- Assist with additional projects and administrative tasks as required.
