Senior.NET Software Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior.NET Software Engineer to join our engineering team at Resolve Tech Solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the backend systems of our enterprise applications using.NET 8, Entity Framework, SQL Server, and Microsoft Azure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using.NET 8 and C#, ensuring they are scalable, high-performing, and secure.
  • Develop and optimize database structures and queries using Entity Framework and SQL Server, ensuring efficient data modeling, indexing, and query performance tuning.
  • Build and maintain cloud-based solutions on Microsoft Azure, leveraging services like Azure Functions, Azure App Services, Azure SQL, and Azure Storage.
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs and integrate them with third-party services, ensuring robust, scalable, and secure communication between frontend and backend systems.
  • Collaborate with the architecture team to design and implement backend architectures that support high availability, scalability, and performance.
  • Utilize Entity Framework for ORM (Object-Relational Mapping) to interact with SQL Server databases, optimizing the use of LINQ queries, migrations, and data access strategies.
  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across the backend infrastructure, including database queries, API performance, and cloud resource usage.
  • Implement security measures such as OAuth, JWT, data encryption, and API security, ensuring that backend systems adhere to security best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and stability, collaborating with the DevOps team to deploy solutions using CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps or other tools.
  • Provide technical mentorship to junior developers, conduct code reviews, and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, product managers, and QA engineers, to deliver end-to-end solutions.
  • Maintain technical documentation for backend processes, APIs, database schemas, and cloud infrastructure.
Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of professional experience in backend development using.NET and C# with at least 2+ years working on.NET Core or.NET 5/6/7/8.
  • Proficiency in.NET 8 and a strong understanding of backend development, including API design, multithreading, and asynchronous programming in C#.
  • Extensive experience with Entity Framework Core, including writing complex queries, optimizing database interactions, and working with LINQ.
  • Strong experience with SQL Server, including database design, query optimization, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure services, including Azure Functions, Azure SQL, Azure App Services, Azure Storage, Azure DevOps, and Azure Active Directory.
  • Hands-on experience deploying, managing, and scaling applications using Kubernetes for container orchestration and management.
  • Proven experience in building RESTful APIs and integrating them with other systems using JSON and HTTP protocols.
  • Solid understanding of security best practices for backend development, including authentication/authorization (e.g., OAuth2, JWT), data encryption, and secure API design.
  • Expertise in optimizing backend performance, especially with SQL queries, API latency, and Azure resource usage.
  • Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and mocking frameworks like xUnit, NUnit, or Moq.
  • Proficiency in version control systems like Git and experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience working in an iterative, collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Azure certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate or Azure Solutions Architect are a plus.
  • Experience in designing and building microservices using.NET technologies and deploying them in a cloud environment like Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
  • Experience with event-driven architectures using technologies such as Azure Service Bus, Azure Event Grid, or Kafka.
  • Experience with setting up CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar tools. Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep is a plus.
  • Familiarity with messaging and queuing systems such as RabbitMQ, Azure Queue Storage, or Azure Service Bus.
  • Knowledge of distributed caching systems such as Redis, Azure Cache for Redis, or other caching mechanisms.
  • Contributions to open-source projects or active participation in the developer community is a plus.
