Job Title: Travel LPN

Brookdale Hospital Medical Center is seeking a skilled Travel LPN to join our team. As a Travel LPN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details
  • Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician, the Travel LPN will perform nursing duties in the care and treatment of patients on an assigned unit.
  • The Travel LPN will use tact and judgment in the care and treatment of patients, and may assist in the supervision of non-professional subordinates.
  • The Travel LPN will be cognizant of the philosophy, standards, objectives, and policies of the Nursing Department.
  • The Travel LPN will perform related duties as required.
Responsibilities
  • The Travel LPN will demonstrate proficient knowledge in the treatment of patients requiring nursing care.
  • The Travel LPN will use available diagnostic results and other information to make an accurate evaluation.
  • The Travel LPN will apply knowledge of illnesses, injuries, and diseases and use available resources in performing the nursing process.
  • The Travel LPN will perform timely, comprehensive, and accurate reevaluations and documentation at regular intervals as defined by the department.
  • The Travel LPN will contribute to an individualized and appropriate plan of care delineating measurable patient care goals.
  • The Travel LPN will contribute to the plan of care making necessary changes as the condition of the patient indicates.
  • The Travel LPN will base care decisions on resident needs and care priorities.
  • The Travel LPN will monitor patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • The Travel LPN must be able to work in surroundings with a degree of dust, noise, etc. without undue discomfort.
  • The Travel LPN must be able to hear, talk, walk, stand, bend, and stretch.
  • The Travel LPN must be able to read, write, and interpret documents.
  • The Travel LPN must be able to sit for long periods of time at a desk to perform job functions.
  • The Travel LPN must be able to stand for long periods of time at required patient bedside and/or procedural areas.
  • The Travel LPN must be able to communicate effectively with patients and/or co-workers.
  • The Travel LPN may be exposed to mechanical/electrical/radiant/explosive/burn and chemical hazards.
  • The Travel LPN may be required to handle, dispose of, and/or identify hazardous waste and hazardous materials.
  • The Travel LPN may be required to operate and clean equipment.
  • The Travel LPN may be required to handle/assist in lifting patients onto/out of exam beds/procedure stations.
  • The Travel LPN must be trained in and knowledgeable of all policies and procedures pertaining to hazardous waste and hazardous materials and maintain qualifications applicable to assigned work.
