Job Overview:

Compensation: $50,000 - $200,000 / Year *(Dependent on Experience)

The primary role of the Collision Repair Specialist is to ensure an outstanding customer experience through the precise evaluation and quality restoration of vehicles to their pre-accident state. The Collision Repair Specialist is responsible for disassembling, repairing, and reassembling vehicles while contributing to our commitment to efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction. This position requires collaboration with all team members to meet the repair facility's performance metrics and embody the values of The Boyd Group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement the WOW (Wow Operating Way) strategy consistently.
  • Assess repair needs and prepare cost estimates for clients. Utilize various tools such as cutting equipment, hydraulic jacks, and hand tools for vehicle repairs.
  • Repair minor body damage by hammering out dents and applying filler resins when necessary.
  • Realign vehicle frames and chassis to correct structural issues.
  • Remove damaged vehicle sections and replace them with new or aftermarket components. Repair or replace glass and windshields as required.
  • Repair or replace interior components as needed.
  • Weld and secure parts into place, and prepare and repaint vehicles using factory-matched paint or agreed-upon alternatives.
  • Complete work orders within the designated labor time guidelines and ensure quality by inspecting vehicles post-repair.
  • Perform additional related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Completion of a technical training program or a 3-year apprenticeship in auto body repair is preferred.
Essential Skills
  • Ability to interpret job orders and work independently.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with other technicians in an auto body shop.
  • Comprehensive understanding of vehicle body repair methods and procedures.
  • Proficient in using the tools necessary for the trade.
Additional Requirements
  • Must be able to work safely in a noisy environment with various odors.
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 30 pounds as needed.
  • Must be able to visually assess vehicle damage in different weather conditions.
  • Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.
