We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Therapist to join our team at PACS Inc. As a Speech Therapist, you will be responsible for evaluating patients and developing effective treatment plans to improve their communication skills.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate patients within 24 hours of physician referral and develop treatment plans to improve their communication skills.
- Supervise Speech Language Pathologist Assistants in direct patient care and patient-related activities.
- Communicate with supervisors and other healthcare team members regarding patient progress, problems, and plans.
- Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation conferences as needed.
- Record evaluations, daily treatment notes, weekly progress notes, and recertification documentation in accordance with state practice act and governmental and third-party payer requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field.
- Proficient in computer skills, including inputting data into programs such as Casamba and Point Click Care.
- Licensed as a Speech Therapist in the state and able to maintain a license in good standing at all times.
- Ability to read technical procedures, policy and procedure manuals, and effectively present information to managers, coworkers, and families.
The work environment is typically low to moderate noise level. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
