Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team at the Vascular Institute. As a key member of our imaging team, you will be responsible for providing safe and effective care to patients undergoing interventional procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with providing safe and age-appropriate care to patients undergoing interventional procedures
  • Perform a wide variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative
  • Set up equipment and position patients for procedures
  • Prep patients for procedures, demonstrating and understanding sterile technique
  • Enter appropriate charges for supplies and procedures
  • Verify patient ID using 2 patient identifiers and verify written orders and consent
  • Use and understand preprocedural verification/time out forms and site/side marking when indicated
  • Assist with maintenance of departmental records, Joint Commission standards, State and Federal Regulations, and performance improvement
  • Complete necessary paperwork and answer departmental phone using proper scripting
  • Maintain stock levels and outdates, and assist in in-service/training for other medical imaging staff as appropriate
Requirements
  • Graduate of AMA-approved School of Radiology Technology
  • ARRT Radiography certification
  • Basic Life Support certification
  • Minimum 1 year experience in Interventional Special Procedures setting in either IR and/or vascular hybrid setting
  • Able to function independently during procedures after appropriate orientation/competency on unit
