Job Summary

Avery Dennison is seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our team. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the movement of materials throughout the site, including loading and unloading trailers and moving raw materials, work in process, and finished goods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Move materials to and from raw, work in process, finished, shipping, receiving, and manufacturing areas.
  • Unload/load trucks/tankers with incoming/outgoing materials and verify materials against receiving/shipping documents.
  • Complete transactions to document the movement of material within the Inventory Management System.
  • Perform warehouse and departmental cycles counts and correct discrepancies.
  • Help manage rack inventories and pick up and transfer material racks, pallets, and other consumable supplies to/from production areas as required.
  • Condense warehouse space and maintain good housekeeping.
  • Perform all assignments, duties, and tasks safely following standard procedures and practices.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) or 3+ years of relevant manufacturing work experience.
  • Ability to follow written and oral instruction.
  • Strong service and quality focus, with a commitment to safety and a willingness to learn and share knowledge.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment and communicate positively with peers and management.
  • Flexibility and dependability to support production and customer focus.
  • Ability to work overtime, including short-notice requests.
