Position Overview:

This role focuses on delivering specialized services and support to students requiring Educationally Related Mental Health Services (ERMHS) across various school locations.

Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver direct therapeutic services to eligible students.
• Provide expert consultation to educators, staff, and families regarding student needs.
• Maintain a professional and ethical approach in all interactions with students and staff.
• Develop and execute individualized treatment plans aligned with educational objectives and clinical expertise.
• Collaborate with colleagues to conduct assessments and formulate service recommendations.
• Participate in IEP and 504 meetings, contributing to student goal-setting and planning.
• Assess the impact of services on student progress and adjust strategies as necessary.
• Organize and lead training sessions for school personnel on relevant topics related to speech and language support.
• Ensure meticulous documentation of treatment records and compliance with district requirements.
• Uphold confidentiality standards concerning student information.
• Foster communication and collaboration with families to enhance student support both at school and home.
• Design and implement SLP programs catering to diverse student populations.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as required by licensure and credentialing standards.

Qualifications:
• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution recognized by the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensers Board.
• Valid and unrestricted California licensure.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).

Preferred Qualifications:
• Proficiency in a second language.
• Experience in behavioral management or related fields.
• Background in public education or similar environments.
