We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent. This full-time position involves overseeing and executing essential grounds maintenance tasks at a golf course, ensuring the highest standards of turf care and landscape management.

Position Responsibilities:

Under general supervision, the Assistant Golf Course Superintendent will:

1. Lead and participate in skilled grounds maintenance activities, focusing on the upkeep of greens, fairways, and other areas.
2. Manage the application of fertilizers and plant protective chemicals, adhering to safety regulations and best practices.
3. Supervise staff, including hiring and training new team members, to ensure efficient operations.
4. Monitor and maintain irrigation systems, ensuring optimal water distribution across the course.
5. Assist in the planning and execution of special projects such as renovations and seasonal preparations.
6. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, chemical applications, and other relevant documentation.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience: Candidates should possess a background in golf course maintenance or related fields, with a minimum of three years of relevant experience. Educational qualifications may include:

• A bachelor's degree in agronomy, horticulture, or a related agricultural field.
• An associate's degree in plant science or horticulture, combined with at least one year of golf course maintenance experience.
• A vocational certificate in landscape and turf management, along with two years of practical experience.

Special Requirements: A valid driver's license may be necessary for certain responsibilities.
