Job Overview

The Room Care Specialist is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of all public areas, corridors, and service zones within the hotel premises. This role involves providing essential support to the housekeeping team by managing linen supplies and responding to guest requests efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and replenish linen supplies in designated storage areas.
  • Organize and stock linen carts, ensuring they are ready for use by housekeeping staff.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of storage areas; dispose of waste, clean surfaces, and ensure floors are well-kept.
  • Collect and dispose of soiled linen and glassware from housekeeping carts.

Cleaning Duties

  • Thoroughly clean and maintain guest room corridors and service areas.
  • Ensure elevators, stairwells, and public vending areas are kept tidy and presentable.
  • Perform routine checks and cleaning of guest laundry facilities.
  • Wipe down and sanitize surfaces of vending machines and other communal appliances.
  • Regularly inspect and care for indoor plants and decorations.
  • Clear debris and maintain cleanliness in all common areas.
  • Handle lost and found items responsibly and report any maintenance issues to the supervisor.

Qualifications

To excel in this position, candidates should possess:

  • Strong ability to work autonomously while remaining motivated.
  • A positive demeanor and willingness to assist guests.
  • Prior experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
  • At least one year of relevant experience.
