Healthcare Staffing Plus is seeking a skilled Cath Lab Radiology Technologist for a locum tenens opportunity in the beautiful rolling hills of southern Indiana.
Job Summary
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Radiology Technologist to join our team. As a Cath Lab Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for preparing examination rooms, administering radiopharmaceuticals, positioning patients and equipment, and monitoring video displays to adjust density or contrast.
Responsibilities
- Preparing examination rooms for patient examinations
- Administering radiopharmaceuticals to obtain clear, usable images
- Positioning patients and equipment, explaining procedures, and ensuring patient comfort
- Inserting commands and data into computers to document and specify scan sequences, and monitoring video displays to adjust density or contrast
- Monitoring patients during examinations, ensuring their safety, and following procedures to prevent unnecessary exposure to radiation
- Producing diagnostic images, reporting important information to physicians, and updating patient records
- Organizing daily procedure schedules for emergencies and monitoring radiographic supplies
- Performing administrative tasks, such as answering technical questions, scheduling appointments, and offering pre-procedure advice
- Performing scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs on radiographic equipment
Requirements
- Days with rotating start times
- BLS/ACLS/Valid CRT from State of California with Fluoroscopy required
- ARRT in Radiology Required
- 2 years previous Cath Lab Cardiac Radiology Technologist required
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
- The ability to stand for extended periods
- Strong technical skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Passionate about patient care
- Requires a minimum of two years of current Cardiac Cath Lab Radiology Tech experience
- Graduate from a fully accredited Radiology Tech/Cardiology program
- Active unencumbered Radiology Tech California state license
- One year of Epic experience
- COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster
Estimated Salary: $88.45 - $88.45 per hour
