Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Mathematics Teacher to join our team at the Nevada Joint Union High School District. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Integrated Math I & II, Personal Finance, and Math Lab (support) to high school students.

Responsibilities
  • Teach Mathematics courses to high school students, including Integrated Math I & II, Personal Finance, and Math Lab (support)
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans to meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must have a valid California single subject teaching credential authorizing Mathematics and be credentialed in EL, CLAD, or SDAIE. Additionally, applicants must submit a cover letter, resume, transcripts, and letter of recommendation with their application.

If hired, the District will require official transcripts and verification of experience in a public school for salary schedule placement.

Benefits

The District offers a comprehensive benefits package, including contributions toward the State Teachers Retirement System (STRS), a health and welfare package (medical, dental, vision & life), and up to ten days of paid sick leave. This position is covered by a collective bargaining unit.

The District will credit up to 10 years of experience for salary schedule placement.
