About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Unified Communications Specialist to lead and support our efforts in migrating and adopting Microsoft Teams as our primary unified communications platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the migration and adoption of Microsoft Teams, ensuring a seamless transition for our organization.
  • Design, implement, and manage Microsoft Teams environments, including configuration, customization, and integration with other systems.
  • Provide technical expertise and support for Skype for Business, Jabber, Cisco CMS, VTC (Video Teleconferencing), Oracle SBCs (Session Border Controllers), and other communication services.
  • Ensure seamless intercommunication between various communication platforms and services.
  • Collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scopes, and deliver solutions aligned with business needs.
  • Conduct thorough testing and troubleshooting to ensure the reliability and performance of unified communications systems.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including system configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Train end-users on the effective use of unified communications tools and platforms.
  • Monitor system performance, analyze trends, and implement optimizations and upgrades as needed.
  • Stay current with industry trends and technologies related to unified communications and recommend improvements or enhancements.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science
  • Required Experience: 8+ years of related experience
  • Required Technical Skills: Experience with Skype for Business, Jabber, Cisco CMS, VTC systems, Oracle SBCs, and other unified communications technologies. Strong expertise in Microsoft Teams administration, including voice and video integration, channels, chat, and collaboration tools.
  • Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI w/Poly
  • Required Skills and Abilities: Proven experience as a Unified Communications Specialist or similar role, with a focus on Microsoft Teams migration and administration.
  • Preferred Skills: Knowledge of networking principles, protocols, and security related to unified communications. Ability to manage complex projects and work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
