Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science (RFUMS) is seeking a highly qualified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our faculty team. As a key member of our Department of Mental Health, College of Nursing, you will play a vital role in shaping the next generation of psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach and mentor students in our Doctor of Nursing Practice: Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program
- Develop and implement curriculum, assessments, and evaluations
- Contribute to the development of our program's scholarly activities and service initiatives
- Participate in departmental and university committees
Requirements:
- DNP, DNSc, or PhD in Nursing or a related field
- Active unencumbered Illinois RN/APRN and controlled substance licenses
- National certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (across the life span)
- At least three years' experience as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
- Experience in team-based learning approaches to instruction
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in nursing education curriculum development
- Experience with teaching methods, including interactive large and small groups and case-based learning
- Experience in teaching nursing education at the undergraduate and/or graduate level
Working Conditions:
- Selected candidate must have the mental and physical capabilities to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodations
