Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team at Mercer Hill at Doylestown. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals for our residents, ensuring a high level of customer service and promoting a restaurant-style dining atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service and promote a positive dining experience for residents
  • Work closely with the Culinary Services Director and/or Executive Director to ensure resident satisfaction with food and dining programs
  • Assist with the supervision of culinary staff and maintain kitchen and food storage areas in a clean and safe condition
  • Prepare and execute LCB Dining enhancement programs and estimate daily or weekly needs of food and supplies
  • Participate in preparing and cooking meals according to established recipes and approved menus
  • Document temperatures of food prior to service and refrigeration and freezer temperatures
  • Prepare and ensure snacks and beverages are available to residents at all times
  • Assist with the transportation and storage of food and supplies
  • Assist with preparation and execution of special events, banquets, and theme meals
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or GED is preferred
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience as a cook in a hospitality or healthcare environment
  • Serve Safe Certification
  • Ability to read and follow recipes and printed production guides, cleaning schedules, and logs
