Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Community Nutritionist to join our team at Baltimore County. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and delivering various nutrition-related services, including nutrition education, consultation, and assessment to individuals, families, and groups.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement nutrition education programs for public health, nutrition, and food service programs.
  • Supervise a team of community nutrition assistants and clerks, planning, assigning, and reviewing their work.
  • Conduct research and prepare reports on nutrition and related health topics.
  • Provide advice, consultation, and guidance on nutrition and related matters, such as food preparation, purchase, and storage.
  • Inspect and evaluate group care facilities.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in nutrition, dietetics, foods, nutrition education, biochemistry, home economics, health services, health education, or a related field.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license equivalent to a noncommercial, class C Maryland driver's license.
  • Proof of licenses, certifications, and education beyond high school.
Working Conditions
