Key Responsibilities- Project Oversight: Supervise a team of Transportation Construction Inspectors and provide direction to ensure quality control and contract compliance for roadway, structure, and bridge construction/maintenance projects.
- Staff Management: Review and oversee the work of subordinate inspectors, including inspection and monitoring of contractual field work, reporting contractor's daily operations, and reviewing placement of and witnessing tests associated with the quality control of construction materials.
- Compliance and Regulations: Ensure contractor compliance with Federal labor requirements and regulations for Federal-aid construction projects, including Equal Employment Opportunity/Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) documentation and compliance.
- Certifications and Qualifications: Must qualify as a TCIS-1 or TCIS-2NECEPT Bituminous Asphalt Field Technician Certification, PennDOT Concrete Field Technician Certification, and NICET Certification.
- Technical Knowledge: Proficient in ECMS - Engineering and Construction Management System, PPCC - PennDOT Project Collaboration Center, and operation of computer equipment and iPad.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate with clients, contractor personnel, and the general public in a professional and courteous manner.
- Business Acumen: Understanding of roadway, structure, and bridge construction/maintenance/repair/rehabilitation methods, materials, standards, and specifications.
