Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled PreOp PACU Nurse to join our team at North Springs Surgery Center. As a key member of our ambulatory surgery center, you will provide safe and effective nursing care to patients postoperatively until they are discharged from the facility.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare patient care areas with necessary equipment and supplies
  • Demonstrate proper airway management techniques
  • Monitor patients according to policy, including vital signs, temperature, and cardiac function
  • Exhibit proper technique for insertion, maintenance, and removal of IV catheters and saline locks
  • Perform and document head-to-toe evaluations of patients using an approved scoring system
  • Check dressings and/or operative sites of patients and report abnormalities to the surgeon
  • Provide a safe and comforting environment for patients and their families
  • Ensure patients meet discharge criteria
Qualifications
  • Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma or Higher degree in Nursing Required
  • 1+ years of nursing experience in a clinical setting, preferably in Preop, PACU, Pain, GI, ER, ICU, or Surgery
  • Active RN license as required by state of employment
  • BCLS Certification upon employment
  • ACLS required within 30 days of hire
  • PALS if required by facility within 30 days of hire
