Job Summary

Ferrara Pan Candy Co., Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Material Handler/Forklift Operator to join our team. As a key member of our warehouse operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient movement of products, packaging, and raw materials throughout our facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation and Inventory Management: Safely operate a forklift to transport products, packaging, and raw materials to and from production lines, packaging areas, and trailers.
  • Warehouse Organization: Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment by complying with company procedures and regulations.
  • Packing and Shipping: Assist in the packing and shipping of products, ensuring accurate and timely completion of tasks.
  • Quality Control: Verify case/pallet counts and patterns, reporting any discrepancies to the floor and/or department supervisor.
  • Inventory Reconciliation: Assist in the inventory reconciliation process, ensuring accurate tracking and movement of products.
  • Safety and Compliance: Conduct assigned work in a safe manner, adhering to company safety methods and GMPs.
Requirements
  • Operational Skills: Ability to operate a Reach and Standup forklift truck and/or hand jack.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to speak, write, and read English.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment with minimal supervision.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling environment.
  • Skills: Ability to work with minimum supervision, promote teamwork, and possess a good attitude.
