Key Responsibilities- Preparation and Setup: Prepare the surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment, and supplies, ensuring that all necessary items are available and in good working order.
- Patient Care: Assist with preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patients, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
- Instrument Management: Pass instruments to the physician during surgery, maintaining accurate accounts of the number and location of instruments and supplies throughout the procedure.
- Specimen Handling: Receive and process specimens for delivery to the laboratory, adhering to strict protocols and procedures.
- Education and Certification: Possess a valid Surg Tech Certification in the state of KY and a graduate of a Program in Discipline.
- Basic Life Support: Hold a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
