Position Summary:
The Cook role is essential for delivering exceptional food preparation and presentation across kitchen stations and event catering during assigned shifts, adhering to the standards and specifications set by the Company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, season, and garnish all menu items.
- Oversee refrigeration and dry storage areas to ensure proper product handling and rotation.
- Adhere to all recipes, specifications, and control procedures.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary workspace in compliance with health regulations.
- Execute proper receiving, thawing, and storage protocols in designated areas, ensuring cleanliness and safety.
- Assist guests with requests as necessary.
- Report any kitchen incidents promptly.
- Implement safety standards consistently.
- Monitor kitchen stock levels and communicate needs to the head chef.
- Prepare dishes under the guidance of the Chef.
- Follow all safety protocols as per company guidelines.
- Possess thorough knowledge of the menu offerings.
- Ensure food quality and consistency throughout service periods.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
- Ability to apply common sense in executing detailed written or verbal instructions.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail are essential.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or G.E.D. is preferred.
- Preferred two (2) years of experience as a cook in a customer service or hospitality setting.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the necessary license through the relevant regulatory authority.
