Speech-Language Pathologist Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to students with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in a dynamic school setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in students.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address the needs of each student.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students in individual or group settings.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress and integrate therapy goals into the educational setting.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and services provided.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and other team meetings as needed.
  • Stay current with best practices and trends in speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Valid New Mexico state license in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Certification from the New Mexico Public Education Department as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Previous experience in a school setting is preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Required Licensure and Certifications:
  • State Licensure: Must hold a valid Speech-Language Pathology license issued by the New Mexico Regulation and Licensing Department.
  • Professional Certification: Must possess the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Educator Certification: Must hold a valid Speech-Language Pathologist license issued by the New Mexico Public Education Department.
