As a Forensic Scientist IV, you will utilize advanced analytical techniques and instrumentation to examine, identify, and evaluate physical evidence in complex cases. Your expertise will be essential in providing technical reports, expert testimony, and training to other forensic scientists.
Key Responsibilities- Examine and analyze physical evidence using chemical, microscopic, chromatographic, and comparative techniques
- Prepare technical reports and provide expert testimony in court
- Provide technical advice and guidance to other forensic scientists
- Recommend revisions to analytical methodology and purchase of scientific equipment
- Supervise and train junior forensic scientists
To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, such as biology, chemistry, or a closely related physical or natural science. You must also have a minimum of 10 years of experience as a forensic scientist in a recognized crime laboratory, with demonstrated competency in at least one forensic discipline.
