- Unit Description: The Digestive Disease Inpatient Units consist of 21 bed general medical/surgical units providing care for patients with various GI diagnoses and complex nursing needs, including those in Bariatric and Autologous Islet Cell Programs.
- Medical Services: The primary services include Luminal Service, Hepatology Service, and GI Surgery Service, encompassing Pancreobiliary, Bariatric, and Surgical Oncology.
- Nursing Model: We employ a modified modular nursing model to enhance teamwork and deliver complex nursing care.
- Facility Type: Level I Trauma Center, Teaching Facility, Magnet Hospital.
- Total Staffed Beds: 820.
- Scrub Color: Solid Royal Blue or White top with Royal Blue bottoms for all RNs.
- Charting System: EPIC.
- Parking Information: Parking management office for permits. $20 registration fee for a hang tag allowing garage use; additional fees may apply for other locations.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year required.
- License: SC or Multi-State/Compact RN license is necessary.
- Certifications: BLS certification is required.
- First-Time Travelers: Accepted.
- Block Schedule Accommodation: Requires manager's approval based on unit needs.
- Local Candidates: Accepted on a case-by-case basis at a reduced rate.
- Local Radius: 60 miles.
- Floating Requirement: Travelers may need to float within scope to meet facility needs.
- Shift Pattern: 3x12 hour night shifts.
- Shift Timing: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
- Weekend Shifts: 4 weekend shifts every 4 weeks.
