We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Care Specialist to join our Med Surg/Telemetry Department at Prime Healthcare. As a key member of our team, you will provide essential non-critical patient care, assist with daily living activities, and help maintain a safe environment under the supervision of the Registered Nurse.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including vital sign monitoring, medication administration, and wound care.
- Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Help maintain a safe and clean environment, including infection control and fall prevention.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate preferred upon hire.
- Current BLS certification required within 30 days of employment.
- Proficiency in Medical Terminology.
- Minimum of six months' experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office is desirable.
