About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Friendship Village, a premier Life Plan Community. As a Nurse Care Specialist, you will provide direct nursing care to residents in a 24-hour operation and delegate and supervise the care provided by nursing assistants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily supervision and leadership to assigned staff and directly provide nursing care to residents as assigned.
  • Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living, family/social activities, and actively promote an independent lifestyle of residents.
  • Initiate the individual plan of care based on health care goals, physician's orders, and nursing assessments.
  • Assist residents in and out of bed or wheelchair with proper transfer equipment.
  • Record vital signs, nourishment logs, and other patient records as necessary.
  • Ensure that the unit and resident room areas are maintained in a clean and safe manner for resident comfort and convenience.
  • Maintain work area and keep the department in compliance with OSHA safety standards.
  • Respond to all call lights promptly.
  • Assist in ensuring the maximum quality of life for all residents by maintaining privacy, accommodating individual preference, promoting independence, and encouraging participation in facility activities and events.
  • Maintain continuous communication with physicians and department heads.
  • Registered Nurse with a current State of Missouri license.
