Job Title: Paramedic

Spectrum Healthcare Resources is seeking a skilled Paramedic to join our team at McDonald Army Health Center in Newport News, VA.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Paramedic to provide emergency medical care to patients in a variety of settings. The successful candidate will have a strong background in prehospital care, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:
  • Respond to emergency calls and provide medical care to patients in a variety of settings, including prehospital and interfacility transfers.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients to determine the nature and extent of their injuries or illnesses.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to address patient needs, including the use of medications, medical devices, and other interventions.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Participate in training exercises and drills to maintain and improve skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Graduate from an accredited Nationally Registered Paramedic (NRP) program.
  • Minimum of 2 years of active experience practicing at the Paramedic level, with a preference for prehospital experience.
  • Certification as a Nationally Registered Paramedic (NRP) from the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) or applicable Paramedic certification.
  • Licensed as a Paramedic by the Virginia Office of Emergency Medical Services.
