General Physician Assistant

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical experience, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a related area. A degree as a Physician Assistant and certification from the Arizona Joint Board of Medical and Osteopathic Examiners are also required.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing diagnostic and therapeutic services to patients, gathering complete histories, and performing physical examinations. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate documentation, coordinating with supervising physicians, and prescribing and dispensing medications as needed.

Responsibilities- Provides diagnostic and therapeutic services to patients under supervision and responsibility of a Physician.
- Gathers complete history of patients and performs complete physical examinations or focused physical examinations for specific complaints.
- Completes discharge summaries and maintains documentation on patient visits.
- Conducts daily patient rounds, as needed.
- Recognizes and evaluates situations which require immediate attention of supervising physician and which require treatment procedures essential for life of patients; responds in appropriate manner.
- Coordinates with supervising physician regarding patients seen such as sees patients in physician's office and hospital, instructs and counsels patients on health and disease issues based on assessment data.
- Follows up with patient by phone (post treatment). Coordinates resources to facilitate care for out-of-town patients.
- Prescribes and dispenses drugs and medical devices in accordance with regulations.
- Monitors effectiveness of therapeutic interventions and makes appropriate referrals when necessary.
- Secures patient health illness and psychological history by ordering, performing and interpreting appropriate laboratory, radiographic and other diagnostic tests.
