Job Overview

J & J Worldwide Services seeks a skilled HVAC Specialist to join our team. As an HVAC Specialist, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing environmental-control systems.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail. The successful candidate will have a strong background in refrigeration theory, pipefitting, and structural layout.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, service, and repair environmental-control systems
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with chillers, air handling units, controls, package units, split systems, exhaust fans, refrigerators, freezers, hot/chilled water pumps
  • Perform predictive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal system performance
  • Operate testing equipment and use tools necessary for the trade
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve project goals and objectives

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair
  • EPA 608 certification
  • Ability to read blueprints, sketches, and specifications
  • Familiarity with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Working Conditions

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs., squat, bend, stoop, and kneel for short periods
  • Occasional exposure to elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, chemicals

Benefits

  • Average salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year
