We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team at Allegion. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for assembling and testing various mechanical components, ensuring high-quality products that meet our customers' expectations.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble housings and cylinders, performing fill, test, and regulate functions to ensure proper closer operation
- Adjust mechanisms to ensure smooth operation and optimal performance
- Build sub-assemblies for stations, including speed controls, end plugs, couplers, rams, piston heads, and ball/nut assemblies
- Perform quality checks on parts and products, adhering to safety regulations and 5S standards
- Collaborate with the team to achieve production goals and maintain a safe and efficient work environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required; related experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, exercising good judgment and sound decision-making skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use various tools and equipment
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of quality control
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and work in a fast-paced production environment
