Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at AdventHealth Sebring Wauchula Lake Placid. As a Radiology Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in maintaining quality patient care by performing imaging procedures and operating equipment safely and properly.
  • Screen patients for any contrast allergies and educate them concerning exams.
  • Perform all types of imaging procedures and operate all equipment safely and properly, including scanners, injectors, monitors, and medical equipment.
  • Position patients and equipment and select technical factors to produce radiographic images meeting Radiologist's/Provider's standards.
  • Perform clerical duties, including answering telephones, completing patient records, filing, and scheduling.
  • Perform direct patient care duties, within technologist's scope of practice, and utilize proper infection control techniques.
  • Assist providers, when needed, and attend department meetings.
  • Comply with The Joint Commission requirements related to their duties and regulations under the HIPAA law.
  • Document and report any patient incident or report of concern in a prompt and timely manner.
Requirements
  • Appropriate technical skills in imaging.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak conversational English.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Academic & Clinical training in Radiology technology.
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Current, valid CPR certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Able to fully use all Radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment.
  • 1-year medical office experience.
