Position Overview:


As a key member of our maintenance team, you will carry a portable communication device, ensuring constant connectivity with the central operations. Your primary responsibilities will include responding promptly to engineering service requests, prioritizing guest needs, and maintaining hotel equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

You will be expected to perform all essential duties of a Maintenance Technician I, along with specialized skills in trades such as plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and HVAC.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct maintenance and repairs in specialized areas including plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and HVAC.
  • Address and manage guest requests with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and necessary repairs on all hotel equipment, including kitchen appliances, laundry facilities, boilers, plumbing systems, pools, HVAC, electrical systems, and guest accommodations.
  • Oversee engineering functions during periods when full staff is unavailable, such as weekends and evenings.
  • Respond to emergency situations, including fire alarms and power failures, and coordinate with the appropriate authorities.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the property to ensure all systems are operational.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all equipment and workspaces.
  • Complete maintenance requests and maintain accurate logs of equipment readings and parts inventory.
  • Manage elevator malfunctions and maintain records for the Rooms Preventive Maintenance Program.
  • Submit daily work order requests in a timely manner.
  • Report any unsafe conditions to management.


Qualifications:

Education/Training:
A high school diploma is required, along with two years of relevant trade school or training in building maintenance or construction.

Experience:
A minimum of four years of experience in mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, or building maintenance is essential.

Knowledge/Skills:


Candidates should possess a foundational understanding of general plumbing, refrigeration, air conditioning, electrical systems, boilers, bathroom fixtures, tiling, painting, and basic carpentry.


Physical Requirements:


The physical demands outlined here represent the requirements necessary for an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this role. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.

Candidates must be able to read written communications, LED displays, meters, and computer screens.

Ability to operate levers and knobs, work with arms raised, and handle small parts using basic hand and power tools is required.

Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for interacting with employees, guests, and contractors.

Candidates must be capable of lifting up to 75 lbs throughout an 8-hour shift and may need to navigate small spaces and climb ladders.

Work Environment:
Indoor conditions may vary from stable to extreme temperatures, while outdoor exposure includes all weather elements. The role involves prolonged standing, walking, bending, reaching, and heavy lifting.

Compensation:
USD $28.58 /Hr.
