Job Overview

PennState Health is seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to join its team in Lemoyne, Pennsylvania. As a key member of the nursing education department, this individual will be responsible for creating engaging and effective instructional materials to support Clinical Nurse Educators and web-based instruction.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in instructional design, adult education, and eLearning development. They will work closely with subject matter experts to identify learning objectives, curricular design, and delivery methodologies that meet the needs of diverse learners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop high-quality instructional materials, including online courses, simulations, and multimedia resources
  • Collaborate with Clinical Nurse Educators to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives
  • Stay current with best practices in instructional design, educational technology, and adult learning theory
  • Analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of instructional programs and make recommendations for improvement
Requirements

To succeed in this role, candidates should possess:

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in instructional design, eLearning development, or adult education
  • Strong proficiency in graphic design and multimedia tools, such as Articulate, Captivate, and Photoshop
