Key Responsibilities- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to provide management with accurate and prompt financial information.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in developing annual budgets and periodic forecasts, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee the Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes, including invoice processing, payment approvals, and collections, to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Reconciliations: Conduct monthly reconciliations for all KBK entities, including bank accounts, general ledger accounts, and intercompany transactions, to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Financial Analysis: Perform financial and variance analyses to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities, providing management with actionable insights.
- Tax Compliance: Coordinate with external tax preparers and auditors to ensure compliance with tax regulations and timely filing of tax returns.
- Audit Support: Assist in preparing for annual audits, including gathering financial documents, responding to auditor inquiries, and implementing audit recommendations.
- Process Improvement: Find opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancement within the accounting department, implementing best practices and standard operating procedures, as necessary.
- Cash Management: Manage cash flow and liquidity requirements, including cash forecasting, investment management, and banking relationships, to optimize financial resources.
- Financial Systems: Oversee the maintenance and administration of financial systems and software, ensuring data integrity and security.
- Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement, and collaborating with third-party contractors when necessary.
- Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field. CPA certification preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or fiscal management.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and standards. Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.
