About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to patients with medically complex conditions. They will work independently with attention to detail, possess the necessary knowledge of all aspects of daily operations, and foster a caring environment that respects patients' dignity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service and public relations to promote a positive professional image
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to maintain a high quality of nursing care
- Take the lead role in case of a medical or psychiatric emergency and therapeutically intervene and de-escalate patients
- Ensure that the blood collected meets regulatory requirements and can be safely transfused
- Remain flexible to work a variable schedule that includes early start times, late end times, weekend, and holidays to meet the needs of sponsors and donors
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Successful completion of experience in leadership (i.e. head nurse, supervisor, etc.) for a minimum of one year
- Current licensure by the State Board of Examiners of Nurses in the Center's state
- This position requires that the employee is able to read, write, speak, and understand the spoken English language to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our patients and visitors at the work site when responding to their medical and physical needs
