Warehouse Shipping Specialist

LACOSTA Facility Support Services is seeking a skilled forklift operator and warehouse team member for our operations.

Shift Details:
  • Day Shift: 6am-6pm
  • Night Shift: 6pm-6am
  • DC/Pinecrest Day Shift: 6:45am-6:15pm
  • DC/Pinecrest Night Shift: 6:15pm-5:45am
Compensation: $17.50/hr, paid weekly.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitates efficient production and distribution by managing inventory, pulling orders, and staging products for shipment.
  • Contributes to the organized operation of the storage area.
  • Maintains accurate inventory records, identifying and labeling materials, and reporting shortages.
  • Locates and verifies materials as per production orders.
  • Packs and prepares materials for shipping, ensuring proper loading and securing of products.
  • Documents shipments accurately by recording units dispatched.
  • Conducts pre-use inspections of material-handling equipment.
  • Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery for product movement.
  • Ensures cleanliness of inventory, loading areas, and equipment.
  • Adheres to safety regulations in the workplace.
Qualifications:
  • At least two years of experience operating forklifts.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Material Handler, Warehouse Associate, or in a similar role.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret information effectively.
  • Capable of managing multiple complex tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficient in prioritizing and meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Physical capability to lift heavy materials.
  • Computer proficiency is preferred.
  • Familiarity with voice picking systems or RF devices is advantageous.
Essential Functions:
  • Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) throughout the shift.
  • Ability to alternate between standing and sitting as needed.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Physical requirements include walking, standing, reaching, bending, and lifting independently.
