Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Adjunct Instructor to teach Pipefitting courses in a part-time capacity. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, assessing student learning, and contributing to the development of the Pipefitting program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach freshman and sophomore-level Pipefitting courses, utilizing a variety of instructional methods to engage students and promote learning.
  • Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with industry standards and college requirements.
  • Maintain accurate student records, submit required reports, and provide counsel/guidance to students as needed.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, contribute to program development, and engage in professional development activities to stay current in the field.
  • Teach assigned classes in keeping with approved syllabi, outlines, and instructional materials.
  • Provide at least one scheduled office hour per week for each three-credit course in a regular 16-week semester or two scheduled office hours per week in an 8-week term.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • At least 10 years of work experience in a qualifying field, with a strong background in Pipefitting.
  • Prior online teaching experience and certification preferred.
  • Blackboard Learning Management System experience a plus.
