Job Title: Sr. Manufacturing Controls Development Engineer

Tesla is seeking a highly skilled Sr. Manufacturing Controls Development Engineer to join our team in the development of advanced vision and measurement processes for our cutting-edge battery products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate needs and opportunities for value-add vision and measurement processes for new high voltage battery programs
  • Guide cross-functional selection of optimal measurement or detection strategy and provide vision interface
  • Design for Manufacturability (DFM) input to product designers
  • Rigorous process and equipment development to achieve target efficacy, repeatability, and performance
  • Continue application development and validation from early prototype builds through high volume production
  • Perform proof-of-concept to green light novel methods, technologies, and suppliers
  • Evolving the machine vision knowledge base through standards and benchmarking
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of engineering or equivalent relevant experience
  • Demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of high-volume 2D and 3D machine vision
  • Experience with one or more additional measurement and inspection technologies
  • Programming experience with one or more common languages
  • Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or equivalent experience

Expected Compensation: $104,000 - $240,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
