Position Overview

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage a team of survey technicians in conducting field surveys for diverse land development and construction initiatives.
  • Strategically plan and coordinate daily survey operations, including route planning, equipment configuration, and data collection strategies.
  • Execute field surveys utilizing advanced surveying instruments such as GPS, total stations, data collectors, and digital levels.
  • Evaluate survey data and generate reports and maps through computer-aided design (CAD) software.
  • Engage with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with project specifications.
  • Adhere to safety standards and company protocols.
  • Provide training and mentorship to Survey Technicians and/or Civil Engineering Technicians to enhance their expertise.
Qualifications:
  • 3-6 years of experience in land surveying, with a focus on project management and leadership.
  • Familiarity with surveying software, including AutoCAD, MicroStation, or Trimble Business Center.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Exceptional communication skills, encompassing written, verbal, and active listening.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • A valid driver's license is required, along with a willingness to travel for field assignments as necessary.
