Cloud FinOps Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud FinOps Specialist to join our team at S&P Global. As a key member of our Cloud Engineering team, you will play a critical role in shaping the financial efficiency of our cloud operations.

• Manage vendor contracts, track spend, and perform detailed cloud consumption and cost analyses to inform resource allocation and usage decisions.
• Maintain an inventory of software licenses and track hardware warranties to ensure the cloud team has the necessary tools and resources to function effectively.
• Perform cloud consumption analysis, plan Cloud Cost Allocation Reports (CFAR), and conduct Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis for applications to optimize cloud costs.
• Track consultant time and headcount, conduct product profitability analysis, and monitor and analyze cloud resource usage to identify inefficiencies and forecast future costs.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in cloud engineering or operations with a cost optimization focus, preferably in AWS.
• Strong analytical skills, knowledge of cloud platforms and services, and experience with cloud cost management tools.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
