About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Universal Logistics Holdings, Inc. in Romulus, MI. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing all levels of preventive maintenance services, repairing trucks, trailers, and related equipment, and ensuring that all vehicles are in proper working condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, battery checks, and lubrication of equipment and machinery
  • Repair and troubleshoot major components, such as engines, transmissions, and differentials
  • Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, and other critical parts to ensure proper functioning
  • Fill out accurate work orders daily
Requirements
  • 1 year of experience as a diesel mechanic
  • Basic set of tools
  • Able to work in varying weather conditions
