Cashier Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Cashier to join our team at Southern States Cooperative. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, processing transactions accurately and efficiently, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

• Process transactions accurately and efficiently using point of sale equipment
• Provide excellent customer service, answering questions and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner
• Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the checkout area and surrounding areas
• Restock merchandise and maintain visual displays
• Assist with opening and closing procedures, including counting cash and balancing the register
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 6 months of retail experience preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time

This position is primarily indoors, with occasional outdoor work. The work environment is fast-paced and may be physically demanding at times. The successful candidate will be able to work in a team environment and provide excellent customer service in a variety of situations.
