About the Role

Sapphire Ridge Health and Rehabilitation is seeking a Certified Medication Aide to join our team. As a Medication Aide, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective administration of medications to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately prepare, administer, and document medications as ordered by licensed physicians.
  • Verify resident identity and ensure medications are not administered to the wrong resident.
  • Document any instances where medications are not administered, including reasons for refusal.
  • Assist with medication charting and ensure accurate records.
  • Verify adequate supply of medications, supplies, and equipment.
  • Order prescribed medications, supplies, and equipment as necessary.
Requirements
  • Current Medication Aide Certification or Current Nursing Assistant Certification from NC.
  • MUST BE CERTIFIED TO WORK IN SKILLED NURSING FACILITY
  • Must have a current/active CPR certification.
  • Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Demonstrated intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook, Internet and Intranet navigation.
  • Highest level of professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of organization and work well within a team environment in support of company objectives.
  • Customer service oriented with the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize, coordinate and simultaneously maintain multiple projects with high level of quality and productivity.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, take initiative and make independent decisions.
