Key Responsibilities
  • Inform patients about various cancer types, treatment pathways, and available clinical trials.
  • Facilitate effective communication among all healthcare team members.
  • Coordinate patient appointments across oncology teams to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Enhance patient experiences by actively engaging with them during appointments, assessing their needs, and communicating relevant information to healthcare providers.
Qualifications

Essential Requirements

  • A minimum of 6 years of clinical experience in Med/Surg Nursing, including at least 3 years in Oncology.
  • Current RN license in California.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • National Certification in Oncology Nursing (OCN) is required.

Preferred Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of oncology nursing practices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience in administrative or educational nursing roles is highly preferred.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
